Welcome to Luna — a real‑time live streaming and chat app built for authentic connection. We respect your privacy and handle your personal data with care. This policy explains what data Luna collects, why we collect it, and how you control your information.

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Account data: username, email address, optional profile picture, birth year (for age compliance).
• Live content: video & audio streams, chat messages, broadcast titles, and interactive reactions.
• Support correspondence: when you report an issue or contact customer service.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• Device identifiers: IP address, Android ID, advertising ID (with your consent), model, OS version.
• Usage & performance: stream start/end times, chat frequency, crashes, network quality.
• Camera / Microphone: only accessed during a live broadcast and never stored permanently by Luna servers.

• ✅ Moderate content – automated filters + human review to block hate speech, abuse, or any content violating our Terms.
• ✅ Improve safety – detect spam, fraudulent accounts, or underage usage.
• ✅ Send critical updates – policy changes, security alerts (no marketing without permission).
• ✅ Analyze crashes and optimize app performance.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We never sell your personal data. We rely on trusted infrastructure partners:

5. Data Retention

• Active account: data stored until you delete your account.
• Chat messages & stream metadata: automatically removed 30 days after a stream ends.
• Video content: Luna does not record or store live streams unless you manually choose to save a clip (clips stored for 60 days).
• Deleted accounts: fully erased within 60 days, except anonymized analytics.
• Crash logs & debugging: retained up to 90 days.

6. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, LGPD, etc.)

Depending on where you live, you can:

• 🔍 Access – get a copy of your data.
• ✏️ Correct – update inaccurate info.
• 🗑️ Delete – erase your account and associated data.
• ⏸️ Restrict – limit processing while a complaint is reviewed.
• 📦 Portability – receive your data in a structured format.
• 🚫 Opt out of "sales" – we do not sell data, so no action needed.

7. Children's Policy & Age Limits

Luna is intended for users aged 13+ (or higher if required locally, e.g., 16 in certain regions). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover an underage account, we will delete it immediately. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child under 13 uses Luna, contact safety@luna-stream.app.

All live streams and chat rooms are moderated via automated filters + reporting. Suspected child exploitation material is reported to NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children).

8. Security Measures

• 🔐 Encryption in transit: TLS 1.3 for all API, WebSocket, and WebRTC signaling.
• 💾 Encryption at rest: Supabase database encrypted using AES-256.
• 🛡️ Access control: only essential engineers have production access, audited regularly.
• ⚠️ However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. Use Luna on trusted networks.

9. International Data Transfers

Luna operates globally. Your data may be processed in the United States (LiveKit), EU/Frankfurt (Supabase region configurable), and other locations where our partners operate. For EEA/UK users, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure adequate protection.

10. Official Age Ratings (Google Play)

• 🇺🇸 ESRB: Teen (content generally suitable for ages 13+)
• 🇪🇺 PEGI: Parental Guidance (user interaction & live content)
• 🇧🇷 ClassInd: 12+ – Inappropriate Language descriptor
• 🇩🇪 USK: 12+
• 🌍 IARC generic: 12+

Ratings reflect user-generated live chat, potential exposure to strong language (moderated), and interactive elements.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Minor changes will be announced in-app. Major changes (e.g., new data sharing) require your consent again. The “Last Updated” date at the top indicates the latest revision.

12. Reporting & Complaints

If you have a privacy concern or believe your data was mishandled, please contact us first. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority (e.g., ICO in the UK, CNIL in France, or CIPP in Brazil).

13. Consent to Processing

By using Luna, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction (at least 13) and you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
